Pour la remplacer, Schaerbeek a re\u00e7u une 2e \u0153uvre repr\u00e9sentant le philosophe d\u2019origine turque. Nasreddin Hoca est un personnage mythique de la culture turque. Ce th\u00e9ologien a v\u00e9cu au 13e si\u00e8cle apr\u00e8s JC. Il doit sa r\u00e9putation \u00e0 ses enseignements tant\u00f4t ing\u00e9nieux, tant\u00f4t absurdes. Grand ma\u00eetre de l\u2019humour, il a l\u2019art de nous faire r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir.<\/p>\n

A Schaerbeek, Nasreddin trouve un \u00e9cho particulier. Le philosophe est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 \u00e0 califourchon sur un \u00e2ne, mais \u00e0 l\u2019envers. Cet animal repr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement l\u2019un des symboles de la commune. Pour cette raison, Schaerbeek a install\u00e9 rue Gallait une sculpture repr\u00e9sentant le personnage. D\u00e9sormais abim\u00e9e, la commune a re\u00e7u une nouvelle statue, plus adapt\u00e9e au climat belge.<\/p>\n

Offerte par le Ministre turc de la Culture et l\u2019ambassade de la Turquie, cette nouvelle sculpture a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par l\u2019artiste Yurdanur Metin. La commune de Schaerbeek a d\u2019abord souhait\u00e9 la placer \u00e0 l\u2019intersection de la chauss\u00e9e de Haecht et la place de la Reine, ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 refus\u00e9 par la R\u00e9gion bruxelloise. Un recours a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

En attendant l\u2019issue de celui-ci, le nouveau Nasreddin se retrouve \u00e0 deux pas de la place de la Reine, \u00e0 l\u2019angle de la rue L\u2019Olivier et de la chauss\u00e9e de Haecht.<\/p>\n

Il leur r\u00e9pond : \u00ab Si je le monte normalement, je vous tourne le dos. Cela ne se fait pas. Si vous marchez devant moi, c’est vous qui me tournez le dos et c’est impoli.
